Tiffany Bowles
My name is Tiffany Bowles. I am running for the Leonardo da Vinci Parent Teacher Organization Board Member position.
I have a kindergartner and a fourth-grade student currently attending LdV.
Similarly, this will be my fourth year as an active and regularly involved PTO member. With the help of great PTO friends and LdV families, I have had the privilege to help with the planning and logistics of several highly attended PTO activities, including the annual Renaissance Faire. Frequently, I have had the chance to work directly with many of you as you have generously volunteered both time and talents for these events, extracurricular activities, field trips and in your children's classrooms. Together, we have contributed towards large goal collective fundraising efforts, as well as helped teachers meet the needs of individual students. As we continue to help uplift individual students. those children will grow and uplift communities.
On a more personal level, outside of the LdV community, some of my background experience has come from community volunteer opportunities. Most recently for the last three years, I have had the privilege to serve as the president of a local children's organization. I help train volunteer teachers, direct annual class lesson plans, conduct regular weekly and monthly meetings and create budgets. Ten different classes run annually providing services to children from ages two to eleven years, which includes a cub scouts program and a girl's leadership program. Most recently, the children completed an annual presentation to a group of over one hundred guests. The children wrote their own speaking parts for the presentation and taught guests about interest topics they had helped select and learn about throughout the year. Additionally, the children demonstrated their growth in personal talents as they sang a variety of songs, some of which included audience participation.
Additionally, I have over ten years experience volunteering and working with children in both group and one-on-one settings. I love children. I love education. I love the Leonardo da Vinci School! It is so important for me to express my great gratitude for all the LdV Families, PTO Members, and of course, Teachers. The efforts of both the faculty and children are truly inspirational, and I would be grateful to have the opportunity to help facilitate their success in any way that I am able.
